The City of Thomson is already implementing downtown revitalization projects the community identified through a Renaissance Strategic Visioning and Planning process the Institute of Government coordinated in collaboration with the Archway Partnership.
Cities across Georgia gain technical assistance and design solutions from UGA landscape architecture students through the Downtown Renaissance Fellows program, coordinated by the Institute in partnership with the Georgia Municipal Association and the Georgia Cities Foundation.
The Institute of Government is responding to government officials' needs with virtual professional development classes, online conferencing and using electronic platforms to facilitate critical local planning sessions.
